Is a wedding worth it?

If a traditional style wedding isn't up your alley, it just isn't up your alley. Why not throw a small ceremony (you can get bridesmaid dresses in white or ivory if you want something simple) in the backyard and follow it with a BBQ style reception? I have been to big, grand weddings and small, backyard weddings. I always have more fun at the backyard weddings since they are low-key and stress-free.
