elopement often hurts very close friends and family. I would suggest having a small wedding, just the friends and family that a) can make it and b) were close enough to you to need to be invited. Tape the ceremony and send it to anyone else that would be interested in seeing it. That way you can have a small wedding in Florida (or wherever you want, actually) without hurting anyone.
